Total Cabling Services, Inc.
Structured cabling is a cabling system that integrates the voice, data, video coax, CCTV, and various other systems of a building or campus (such as safety alarms, security access, paging systems, access controls, energy systems, etc).
A structured cabling solution consists of a standardized media for example Category 5 or Category 6 (Cat 5 or Cat 6) and layout with standard connection interfaces (faceplates, jacks, patch panels, patch cords) that adhere to national and international standards. EIA/TIA 568A is the American standard, ISO/IEC 11801 is the International standard for structured cabling systems. Designs also need to adhere to local building codes for a total system design and installation. Usually the voice, data, video, and building management systems have nothing in common except similar transmission characteristics via analog or digital low voltage data signals. The structured cabling is most often installed throughout a building via conduit, cable tray, raceway, relay racks, j-hooks, etc. This not only supports and protects the cabling investment but enables it to perform to the manufactures specifications, warranty requirements, and local building codes.
Total Cabling Services, Inc. has become a primary structured cabling vendor for many South Florida area businesses and a preferred sub-contractor for a number of area builders, communications companies for installation of turn-key cabling systems.
